We now have a +Google+ page ready to be filled with lots of helpful Scouting information.

We have recently moved from one server to what is meant to be a better one which more redundancy and reliability but had a couple of issues with the server and were unfortunately down for a couple of hours over the past few days. We have now fixed the problem and should not encounter it again.
On the better side with the new server we have been able to update Mediawiki to version 1.15.4 this is designed to give more speed, new features and get rid of some of the bugs.
Scouts.org have created a blog for Haiti Solidarity to draw the attention of thousands of supporters who are on the move day after day.

ScoutHelp now has information about Girl Guiding.
This is still a work in process but shows were growing 
ScoutHelp are getting behind Jays Big Adventure by providing information to our readers about where Jay has been and what’s going on.
We will be following Jay’s Adventure and as she visits a group well add it to the site with any brief information we can find using Google like Cestrian Scouts.

Scouts have been advised not to carry penknives unless there is a “specific” reason to do so.
The guidance, published in Scouting magazine, follows confusion over laws on carrying a knife in public and a crackdown on knife culture.
Dave Budd, who runs safety courses for scouts, said knives “of any sort” should not be carried to camps unless there was a “specific need”.
But Kent scout leader Sheila Burgin said it was health and safety gone mad.
